Users, roles, and access¶
You need the corresponding administration permission to change team access. If Administration or the team settings card is absent, ask a CRM administrator.
Use the smallest appropriate access level¶
- Open Administration from the account menu.
- Open the team or access settings available to you.
- Find the user and review their current responsibilities.
- Assign the least-privileged access level that covers those responsibilities.
- Save, then verify the result with the user's normal account.
Use Sales representative for individual contributors, Sales manager for people who coordinate a team and selected sales settings, and CRM administrator only for people responsible for the workspace itself.
Review access when responsibilities change¶
- Remove access promptly during offboarding.
- Review connected accounts and owned work before disabling a user.
- Reassign open activities, records, dashboards, or integrations where needed.
- Test sensitive changes with a non-administrator account.
- Never share a named user's account to solve an access problem.
Warning
A navigation item being hidden is not the security boundary. Server-side roles and record permissions decide whether data and actions are available.
