Dashboards and reports¶
Use dashboards to monitor recurring work at a glance. Use reports when you need a defined question, filters, and a table or chart generated from the records you are allowed to see.
Choose your dashboard¶
Open Home, then open the dashboard switcher beside Dashboard. Available dashboards are grouped under Mine, From your team, and Shared. Choose the star action beside a dashboard to make it your default.
Choose Refresh when you need the latest available figures. Yukon labels a dashboard when figures may be cached for up to five minutes or when it has fallen back to the built-in dashboard.
Build a personal dashboard¶
Dashboard editing requires a desktop-sized browser window.
- Open the dashboard you want to change.
- Choose Edit when it is shown. Otherwise choose Duplicate to make a personal, editable copy.
- Choose Add widget.
- Add an available component or report.
- Drag tiles to arrange them and use a tile's corner to resize it.
- Remove widgets you no longer need, then choose Save.
Available widgets are permission-aware. If a report or component is absent, ask an administrator to review your access or the dashboard configuration.
Run a report¶
- Open Reports.
- Choose a report from the Report selector.
- Choose an available View, such as summary, table, or chart.
- Complete the report's filters.
- Choose Apply.
The output shows when it was generated and whether it is current or cached. Choose Refresh to request a refreshed result. If no rows match, change the filters and apply them again.
For example, Pipeline health can provide summary, chart, and table views. Use its opportunity scope to compare My opportunities with All permitted opportunities, and narrow it to a pipeline when needed.
When Create report is available, it opens advanced report setup in a new browser tab. Creating a report there does not automatically add it to Yukon's curated Reports catalog.
Optional Sell reports¶
When the Sell module and Quotes are available, open Quotes → Reports for quote-focused analysis. Choose My quotes or All permitted quotes and a date range. Depending on your data, the page can show the quote funnel, approval aging, discount leakage, and product win/loss results.
Reports and dashboards can legitimately differ between users because both honor record and report permissions. Compare filters, ownership scope, and the generated time before treating different totals as an error.
Tip
A list is best for acting on records. A report is best for interpreting a defined result. A dashboard is best for repeatedly monitoring a small set of signals.
See groups and saved views for reusable working sets that do not change the underlying records.
