My Inbox and email¶
My Inbox brings connected mailboxes into Yukon so you can read, reply, and turn a conversation into CRM work without losing its relationship context.
My Inbox is conditional
My Inbox appears only when email is available to your account. If it is missing or asks you to connect a mailbox, open Profile & preferences → Email & calendar or follow your administrator's connection process.
Triage conversations¶
- Open My Inbox.
- Choose All mailboxes or one connected mailbox.
- Choose Inbox, Sent, or Archive.
- Search by sender or subject when needed.
- Open a conversation to read it. Yukon marks an unread conversation as read after it opens successfully.
For a selected Microsoft mailbox, permission-dependent conversation actions can mark a message read or unread, archive it, or move it back to the Inbox. Select several conversations to apply those actions as a batch. When these actions are available, press E while a conversation row is focused to archive it—or move it back to the Inbox when you are viewing Archive. Press U to toggle its read state. IMAP/SMTP mailboxes do not currently provide these triage actions.
Review account activity¶
When Account activity is available beside Mailboxes, it collects new incoming email linked to records you own. Choose New for items that still need review or All for the wider feed. Open an item to go to its record, and choose Acknowledge when you have handled the update.
Account activity is a work feed, not another mailbox folder. Use the mailbox view when you need to reply, archive, or change an email's read state.
Act on the sender¶
Yukon identifies a sender as a contact, lead, teammate, or an address that still needs attention. The available actions depend on that match and your permissions. You may be able to:
- open Recent history;
- choose Follow up or Schedule activity;
- create a New opportunity;
- add an unknown sender as a contact;
- associate the address with an existing contact;
- choose Add to record… to link the conversation to a contact, organization, or opportunity.
Link a conversation to the record whose history should explain the exchange. This is especially useful when an email concerns an opportunity but arrives in a contact's mailbox conversation.
Reply or compose¶
Choose Reply inside a conversation, or choose Compose to start a new message. These actions appear only when you have access to a mailbox that can send or an administrator has granted the needed send-as access. When composing, you can select an available sending mailbox, add recipients, use Cc or Bcc, enter a subject, and write the message.
When you start from a lead, contact, organization, or opportunity, choose Email on that record. The message is linked back to its relationship history. Approved templates may be available from Insert template… when composing from a CRM record.
Work with attachments¶
An incoming attachment can be saved to the matched sender record or to another record you choose. It then appears in that record's Documents area.
To send a file already stored on a record:
- Open the record's Documents tab.
- Open the file's actions.
- Choose Attach to email… to add it to a message, or Send a copy… to begin a new message with that file.
New uploads are not added directly from the email composer. Upload the file to the record first, then attach it from Documents.
Understand email visibility¶
Linking an email to a record does not grant access to the underlying mailbox. What a user can read depends on both record access and mailbox access. Some users may see that an exchange exists while protected message content or attachments remain unavailable.
If a mailbox shows Attention required, reopen its connection settings or ask an administrator to review the account. Avoid sending the same message again until Yukon confirms whether a previous send was accepted; use Check send status when it is offered.
