Navigate and search

Yukon's sidebar is organized into Workspace, Records, and Tools. Destinations appear only when your account and workspace can use them.

Find a record from anywhere

  1. Select Search near the top of the sidebar, or press Ctrl+K on Windows or Cmd+K on macOS.
  2. Enter a whole word or the beginning of a word.
  3. Choose a result to open it.

Global search covers leads, contacts, organizations, and opportunities you are allowed to see. If an expected result is missing, check spelling and your access with an administrator. It intentionally omits inactive contacts and organizations and converted leads; use their list-page controls when you need those records. If the search palette asks you to narrow the term, enter a more specific phrase or use a filtered list.

Work with long lists

When a list page has search, it searches the full set of permitted records on the server, not just the rows visible on screen. Filters also run against the full permitted set. Depending on the page, you can also:

  • choose a view such as Open, Closed, or All;
  • add filters;
  • sort by a supported field;
  • choose the columns you need;
  • save a useful combination as a view;
  • load the next or previous page of results.

Filters are cumulative. If a list appears empty, remove filters one at a time or return to its default view.

For the full workflow, including saved views and safe multi-record changes, see lists, filters, and bulk actions.

Keep several records open

Record workspaces have an Open records strip above the page. Normal list or search navigation replaces the active Yukon tab. Use the + action when you want to find another record and keep both records open.

The previous and next arrows follow the list context you opened the record from. Press K for the previous record or J for the next when you are not typing in a field.

Arrange your sidebar

Open Profile & preferences and choose Customize sidebar. You can reorder destinations and section dividers, then save the arrangement for your account. Use Restore Yukon order when you want to return to the default layout.

Your custom order does not grant access to a destination. Permissions and workspace availability still decide what appears.
